Just when you think you've got them figured out, guess what? |

This Could Happen To You!Jim Today I finally got out (I live 2 minutes from the river) and took my little 4wt and floating line and only a bunch of your leech patterns. I think I landed around a dozen rainbows from 13 - 18 inches and I won't say how many I missed or broke off. I have been fishing this spot every spring for years and the bite usually shuts down after landing a couple of fish. Today they liked the black egg sucking leech, the black leech, the antique gold leech, and were still going when I had to leave 3 hours later. Swinging big wet flies is normally a good way to go here in spring high water but today was outstanding. Thanks - Pat Sillivan (Spokane, WA) |
