Gear Up For Chile

Here is a comment by one of our customers on fishing for those big browns in Chile. Check out the Chile articles at the bottom of the page and on the "Past Trips Page" for more info on gearing up for Chile.

"I just want to drop you a line to let you know how well the Kelly Galloup Professional Series Streamer line has been performing for us here in southern Chile. We've been trying out the line over the course of the past season on the Rio Petrohue. From a drift boat this line has been deadly, and has significantly increased our overall catch rate while fishing streamers, including contributing to catches of two monster browns at 28" and 30" in the last two weeks. Unfortunately both of these broke off at the net (on 8lb. Maxima!), but we did get good looks and great fights form both. I'm including a couple photos of two recent smaller browns that I did land. They're not quite the class of the bigger two, but still very nice fish."
