I learned how to fly fish in the hit-and-miss, trial-and-error way that makes things stick,
and I learned patience, persistence, acceptance and probably a few other good things, too.

Tips From Our Dealers

From Pat Ehlers of The Fly Fishers in West Allis, WI.

Here in the Midwest the T-Series lines are very effective fishing pike and muskies. As spring ends and summer heats up, pike and musky seek cooler water temperatures. This moves the fish out to deeper water. The T-series lines fast sinking ability and long shooting capabilities allow reaching these depths with relative ease.

My favorite tactic is to use a T-300 line with a short mono leader tipped with a foot of nylon coated wire. I tie on a diver style fly and dress it with flotant. Fish weed edges in 5 to 15 feet of water with this setup and retrieve your fly with intermittent pauses. The dressed fly wants to float but the T-300 will keep it in the fish zone acting like a large crankbait.

T-Series lines will keep you in the fish zone when the fish head for deeper water. They're not just for salmon and steelhead anymore!
