I cannot imagiine anybody writing a whole book about maggots, whereas
many a man has spent much of his life thinking and writing about fisherman's flies.

Dream Lodge & Kenai River, Alaska 2002

I came out from the Duncan Base Camp on the 13th of July and met my wife Donna at the Anchorage Airport. Our friend and Alaska Rep, Tony Weaver picked us up and we spent a nice evening in Anchorage. The next morning we were on a plane to the Aniak River to hook up with George and Jill Davis at Alaska's Dream Lodge.

During our trip we caught Kings, Chums, Rainbow, Dolly Varden and Grayling. We had a good time with Tony, Jill and George. The food was quite good and we saw very few people.

After five days we flew back to Anchorage and headed to the Great Alaska Fish Camp located on the Moose and Kenai Rivers.  We had an afternoon of Sockeye fishing, a good time was had by all.

Tony's wife, Linda came with us to the Kenai. Donna hooked and landed the most beautiful Sockeye Salmon at 13 1/2 pounds. A male Chrome Bright sporting sea lice with tails. It was 30 1/2" long by 18 1/2 " Girth.

Alaska again was good to us. The Teeny Mini-Tip line on the Kenai for the Sockeyes was the line of choice. We caught them on our Teeny Leeches in sizes 4 & 6's in Hot Green, Ginger, Hot Pink and Black.
