Great Alaska Fish Camp, Kenai River - July 1999

This was my third time fishing at the Great Alaska Fish Camp and each and every trip has been exceptional for Big Kings, on the fly. We were catching Kenai Kings on our flies with a Mini-Tip line in slack or slower waters. One day I hooked 40 Kings and landed 20. Estimates by length and girth would have put the largest at over 54 pounds. If you are a fairly good caster then you stand a good chance of doing very well. The fish seem to be moving through so your action could come in waves. Their lodge is easy to reach and the people, lodging, fishing, and food are all first rate.
