After the trip to Chile for Sea Run Browns, my friend Craig Campbell and I headed to the Andros Island Bonefish Club, in the Bahamas. We met up there with my good friend, Peter Cockwill from England, and his friend Richard. We were also joined by my friend, John Randolph, the editor of Fly Fisherman Magazine. Out of our four fishing days, three were the most beautiful you could ask for. My first two days out I fished with lodge owner/guide Rupert Leadon. He knows the water and fish so well. We caught lots of Bonefish and it was an exceptional trip.
Donna Teeny, the lodge manager, was able to fish one day with us and she got a 4 foot plus Barracuda, and lots of Bonefish. The next day I had several shots at about a 25 pound Permit, and he ate my Teeny shrimp fly twice, and I missed him both times. He was on a Ray and would not leave it. It was very exciting to see him working the area and giving me so many shots! I can't say enough about the Bonefish Club. It is a wonderful place to stay while trying to catch some of the biggest Bonefish in the world. Accommodations, food, and guides are top notch.
