This East spring took me to Oregon's East Lake (541-536-2230). This is where I first tied the Teeny Nymph in May of 1962, to catch those big Rainbows, Brown and Eastern Brook Trout! We were early and hit some colder weather with wind and snow not to mention the Lake being 95% iced over.

None the less we caught a few Browns, Rainbows and one Brookie. It was truly cold and we always had some ice on our guides.
Next we went to the Crooked River out of Prineville, Oregon. We all caught lots of Wild Trout up to about 13 inches. Hooked a few large but they got off. Craig Campbell of the Fin & Feather (541-447-8691) in Prineville told us of a good stretch to fish.
