Florida Keys Tarpon April 2000
This year, another great fishing adventure with Capt. Bruce Chard. He really knows the fish and their habits. We jumped 42 adult Tarpon and had the trip of a lifetime. We also landed a Bonefish and two Bonnet Sharks. Gene Herring of "Fly Fish TV," which airs on Fox Sports made the trip. He was able to capture footage for three upcoming programs. They should begin airing in July.
The weather was very windy, and partly overcast which made the fishing much more difficult. It was hard to spot the fish and properly present the fly. I have no question that our numbers would have been much higher if we had better weather.
